HOLIDAY TRAVEL TO NORTHERN CYPRUS Any valid passport is accepted for entry to or departure from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Turkish citizens are required to show only their Turkish Identity Card. A form will be issued on entry and this must be completed and provided to the authorities on departure. A visa is not required. The Island is reached by air or sea . |

CURRENCY AND EXCHANGE
The currency is the Turkish Lira. The American Dollar English Sterling and the Euro are the most readily accepted foreign currencies. No more than 8000 American Dollars or its equivalent in other currencies can be taken out of the country on departure.
Most of the banks hotels restaurants and businesses accept Euro cheques. Visa Access Euro card MasterCard and Diners Club are all accepted. Where Turkish banks have branches on the Island the services of their automatic cash machines are available.
